Accept an invitation to join a company

What this does

For the person who was invited: joins you to a company in AysOps so you can work with the team.

If you’re new to AysOps

  1. Open the invitation email (“You’ve been invited to [company]…”) and click Accept the invitation. The link works for 48 hours.
  2. The Accept your invitation page opens. Type Your name, then choose a Password (at least 12 characters) and type it again in Confirm password.
  3. Click Accept invitation. Your login is created with the invited email address, you join the company, and AysOps opens in that company. From now on you sign in with that email and password.

Don’t use Sign up free to join a team: that creates a separate company of your own.

If you already have an AysOps login

For example, you own your own company or work for another one.

  1. Open the email (“You’ve been added to [company]…”) and click Accept invitation. The link works for 48 hours.
  2. If you’re not signed in, sign in with the email address the invitation was sent to. See Sign in.
  3. You’re added to the company and AysOps opens in it. Your own company is untouched.

If you’re already signed in, invitations waiting for you can also appear at the top of the page with an Accept button.

What happens next

You can use everything your licence allows. If you belong to more than one company, switch between them with Select company: at the top of the menu. See Switch companies.

If something goes wrong

  • “Wrong account”: you’re signed in with a different email from the one invited. Click Sign out & switch to the invited address and sign in with it, or ask for an invitation to the address you use.
  • “Unable to accept invitation”: the invitation has expired (48 hours), was cancelled, or was already used. Ask the person who invited you to send a new one.
  • “This invitation link has expired or was already used” (on Accept your invitation): ask the person who invited you to send a new one.
  • “This invitation link is not valid”: open the link from the invitation email again (copying it by hand can cut it short), or ask for a new invitation.
