A button, menu item or page is missing
There are three usual reasons. Work through them in order.
On a phone?
Section titled “On a phone?”Some pages aren’t in the phone menu: Recurring Charges, QuickBooks, Online booking, Add-ons, Team, Reports and Settings. Use a computer or tablet for them, or follow a link to the page. See Use AysOps on your phone or tablet.
1. Your access doesn’t include it
Section titled “1. Your access doesn’t include it”AysOps only shows what your licence and account type allow. A Staff or Limited member, for example, won’t see Settings, Team or Billing, and may see a page but not its Edit or Delete buttons.
- See what you have: ask an owner or administrator to open Team and click your row; the Current License card lists every permission.
- Ask them to change your account type if you need more. See Roles and account types.
2. It belongs to an add-on that isn’t on
Section titled “2. It belongs to an add-on that isn’t on”Some features only appear once their add-on is turned on, for example Online booking, Passwords, QuickBooks, team members, calendar sync and video-call links. Their menu items (for example Online booking and Passwords under Add-ons in the left menu) appear once the add-on is on. Only the account owner can turn add-ons on, from Add-ons. Anyone else sees a Request button on the add-on’s card, which lets the owner know you’d like it. See Add-ons explained.
3. It isn’t available for this record
Section titled “3. It isn’t available for this record”Some buttons depend on the record’s state:
- An estimate or invoice that’s been sent can’t be edited the same way as a draft.
- Something that’s been used on a document (a rate, a product, a tax) can’t be deleted, only archived, so your billing history stays complete.
- A Coming soon label means the feature isn’t available yet.
Everything is there, but nothing will save
Section titled “Everything is there, but nothing will save”If buttons are there but saving is refused, read the message:
- “Your subscription has ended, so this account is read-only.” (or a “Your free trial has ended” screen): you can still see and export everything, but nothing can be changed until the owner subscribes in Settings → Billing. See Billing and your subscription.
- “Your access to this company is paused, so it is read-only for you right now.”: everything you entered is still there. The account owner can switch your access back on.
Still can’t find it?
Section titled “Still can’t find it?”Search this help, or report it with Help & feedback (the round blue button) from the page where you expected it. See Get help.
